Re: Chunk regeneration
Ehn, that's okay. It's probably not a good idea to go that far away from the rest of the server now that the new stuff can be found that much closer anyway... Thanks though

Re: Chunk regeneration
Airship, this topic ran for 2 days asking people to mark it well no-one did so...
You will get your stuff back, from me or another admin.
To be fair, I did post after Gazoid suggested the changes, though I guess I could have been more specific:

Anyway, be careful west from spawn and all the way to the edge of the map, since that's where I've built my tunnel. Don't want to dig that thing again

Re: MiniMap Mod for SimpleServer!!
I do believe it is client based, as chunk errors (which are mostly clientside) appear on the minimap as well

According to their forum thread it should be possible getting warp capabilities back...

Re: MiniMap Mod for SimpleServer!!
Just get the MrMMods pack. It has a working minimap, and the game looks really good with betterlights and grass
http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic ... 25&t=55700
That being said, the minimap isn't THAT useful. Too zoomed in to be of any practical use.

Well, yeah, I tend to live on the MC forums these days, as I'm quite bored, heh. I'll definitively post other interesting things I find... Maybe that will liven this place up a little as well?

Re: -----------========Sorry========-----------
Take it from me - If your mobile broadband supports 3g or better, you can play Minecraft online. You will lag slightly, and spikes of lag once i a while are to be expected, but it's very playable. That is, if the game is ever patched to pre-Halloween standards! :D

Re: -----------========Sorry========-----------
Yep, lots of broken things with Biomes so far. Notch conveniently "forgot" to add snowy weather in snow and ice regions - that's why you don't see ice regrowing. Same for regular snow as well. Leaves broken as well? Fuuuuun. Also, grey particles when attacking leaves. lol.

I didn't think the levelgen was that bad. It was full of awesome cliffs. In what way did you find it awful? If you prefer a hilly map like the last one we had (IMO a bit dull, but to each his own :P), just recreate the world a few times.

That's it for me
Since the Halloween update, Minecraft has become extremely resource hungry. Server owners are reporting as much as 2-3x more usage of resources than before, which in turn causes almost every server to lag like crazy.

Re: Server offline mode
Dammit, knew I'd overlooked something. There is a offline mode, but like you guys say, the name verification would be iffy. It would be like the free weekend, so there would be mods and admins, but anyone could log in as those and impersonate them. I think. Ehn, too much hassle either way. I'm sad ...

Server offline mode
Hi
As you all probably know by now, Minecraft is being DDoS'd. This means that we can't connect to multiplayer servers at all UNLESS that server is running in offline mode. Is it possible to se Maxloader in offline mode, at least until this whole shebang is over? I'm getting withdrawal symptoms ...
