I've been running an FTB Ultimate server with a buddy of mine for about 6 months now. Vanilla got too boring for me after playing for 2 years. Doesn't mean I wouldn't pop back on once in a while. Alllll the animals seem to have disappeared in my barn / anywhere near spawn. I had at least 40 sheep dyed various colors and 20 pigs and probably 30 more chickens or so. I'd love to have at least a few of them restored.

Even if your password gets hacked...the likelihood that someone would end up using your account on the same server you always play on is extremely slim. They'd either have to be playing on your computer or know the server address randomly off the top of their head.

Pulled a logblock for a bunch of missing chests in my house and it looks like emthegem destroyed all of them 3 days ago. Normally I wouldn't care but one of them contained a TON of wool in all different colors, and it's mostly gone now.

Yeah a lot of people have been playing 1.7 apparently on other servers. At least that's what i've been hearing from the few people who have been on lately.

I love this. Shot a mail to Zuggu about making forts across from each other last night but in CTF it'd be way better. Will require a crap ton of TNT and some redstone to be spawned...waiting for like 18 creepers just for a single shot not very feasible.

Yeah, I've had issues with them before but for the most part a couple torches will successfully keep things from spawning. Like Jakal said, try the walls next time.

I also have noticed an INSANE amount of mobs (both friendly and not so friendly) in that area while chunks are still loading. I feel like that is probably contributing to the ridiculous lag.

Just tested through SSH from the box I play on at home and my ping from there is around 120ms. It may still be a propagation issue so I wouldn't reinstall the server yet. I didn't try pinging last night so I have nothing to compare it to.

Still at about 8s this morning from the US. Might just be latent DNS issues or something...hopefully it'll settle down today. I've also noticed a lot of issues since the 1.5 update related to this so that might be contributing as well.

My ping has been terrible as well. It was okay earlier for a little bit but tanked pretty hard again.
